I am posingt this as some of my favorite lines and I am also posting this as a response to Joe’s concerns about Ezra Pounds’ ideas about a poet being “viewy”.  If I am correct I believe Williams takes on the responsibilities of the painter in this poem. He creates an image that does not leave room for alterations.

Williams, The Red Wheelbarrow

I love this poem because whenever I read it the beauty of the red wheelbarrow “glazed with ran water” flashes in my mind.
